Drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) can assist First Responders in many ways:
- Emergency Responders - Search and rescue drones can be equipped with high definition cameras and two way communication for identification and communication with those in need of rescue.
- Firefighters - Drones can get up and over the fire to let firefighters see hot spots and help position hose streams for more efficient firefighting Drones equipped with thermal imaging can provide early warnings and indicated hot spots still needing to be addressed.
- Police Departments = Local police agencies can use drones as part of their day to day activities to keep officers out of harms way. Drones can be deployed quickly to provide a birds eye view to isolate danger and thermal imaging can provide a real-time tracking of criminals.
